Do I need to have made a decision before I contact you?

Not at all. Many of the people who come to us are still in the early stages of thinking things through. We are comfortable holding space for uncertainty. Our role in a first conversation is to help you understand what your options look like — not to push you toward any particular course.

How long does a typical matter take?

It depends on the type of work and the circumstances. A marital agreement can be drafted and reviewed over a few weeks if both parties are in agreement. Divorce proceedings with a mediation focus typically take two to four months. Child custody arrangements vary considerably depending on how much is agreed from the outset and whether court filing is required.

Can Sawasdee Law handle matters involving foreign nationals?

Yes. A significant portion of our work involves mixed-nationality families or couples where one or both parties hold foreign nationality. We have experience with marital agreements that are intended to be recognised in multiple jurisdictions, and we coordinate with partner counsel abroad where cross-border matters require it.

The fees listed on this website cover the core legal work for each service as described — drafting, review, mediation sessions, and standard filings. Court filing fees and notarization charges are billed separately at cost. We discuss all expected additional costs before the engagement begins so that you have a clear picture from the outset.

Will everything I share remain private?

Yes. Everything shared with us — in messages, phone calls, or in person — is protected by legal professional privilege. We do not share client information with any third party without explicit instructions. This applies from the very first contact, even before any formal engagement is established.

Do you meet clients outside your office hours?

Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00. For clients who find weekday appointments difficult, we occasionally arrange Saturday morning meetings by prior arrangement. Please mention this when you make your first contact and we will do our best to accommodate.
