How We Work

Our approach to every family matter

We begin every engagement by listening — separately, individually, and without any particular outcome in mind. This is not a formality. The first sessions with each person shape everything that follows, because the most useful legal advice is advice that is grounded in the actual circumstances of the actual family, not a generic template applied to a situation we haven't fully understood.

Wherever the circumstances allow, we work toward a negotiated resolution. A settlement that both parties have genuinely chosen is more durable than a court order, and it preserves more of the relationships that need to continue — particularly where children are involved.

When court proceedings are necessary, we manage them with the same care and the same tone. Contested matters do not change our approach — we remain steady, thorough, and oriented toward the best achievable outcome for our client and, where relevant, for the children involved.

All work is conducted in English throughout. Thai-language filings and court appearances are handled directly by our counsel. Documents are reviewed by a senior counsel before being shared, and fees are discussed openly before any engagement begins.

Service One

Marital Agreement Drafting and Review

A considered service for couples wishing to formalise the financial and property arrangements within their marriage — whether at the start of a relationship, on the eve of a wedding, or at a later stage when life circumstances have shifted. We meet with both partners together and, where helpful, separately, to understand each person's perspectives on the household, on personal property, on inherited assets, and on the children's interests where applicable. The drafting itself is unhurried and the language is intentionally accessible.

We coordinate any required notarization and ensure that the document is appropriate for both Thai and any relevant foreign jurisdictions. Suitable for engaged couples, mixed-nationality couples, and married couples wishing to update arrangements made earlier in life.

What is included

  • Initial consultation with both partners (together and, if preferred, separately)
  • Full drafting of marital agreement in accessible language
  • Review and revision following client feedback
  • Coordination with notary for authentication
  • Guidance on recognition in foreign jurisdictions (where applicable)

How the process unfolds

  1. 1

    Initial contact and consultation scheduling

We arrange a first meeting — with both partners if they are comfortable with a joint session, or separately if preferred.

  2. 2

    Separate listening sessions (if requested)

Each partner may meet individually with counsel to discuss their particular concerns in private.

  3. 3

    Draft preparation and review

We prepare a first draft for review — in plain language, with explanatory notes where technical terms appear.

  4. 4

    Finalisation and execution

Once both parties are satisfied, we coordinate signing and notarization as required.

Service Two

Divorce Proceedings with Mediation Focus

A patient, mediation-first approach to divorce for couples seeking to dissolve their marriage in a way that preserves dignity and, where possible, ongoing co-parenting relationships. The engagement begins with separate listening sessions for each partner, followed by joint mediation meetings conducted at a measured pace. Our counsel prepares draft settlement agreements covering property division, household arrangements, and any maintenance obligations.

Where children are involved, the conversation extends to schooling, custody schedules, and holiday plans. Should the matter require formal court proceedings, we manage the filings and representations with the same considered tone. Suitable for couples who recognise that their relationship has reached its end and who wish to part with as much grace as the circumstances allow.

What is included

  • Separate listening sessions with each partner
  • Facilitated joint mediation meetings
  • Settlement agreement covering property, maintenance, and arrangements
  • Court filings and representation if required
  • Child-related provisions included in settlement

How the process unfolds

Separate first sessions with each partner

Each person is heard individually before any joint process begins.

  2. 2

    Joint mediation meetings

With counsel present, both parties work through the key issues at a measured pace.

  3. 3

    Settlement agreement preparation

Draft agreement prepared, reviewed, and revised until both parties are comfortable.

  4. 4

Service Three

Child Custody Arrangements and Parenting Plans

Comprehensive preparation of custody arrangements and detailed parenting plans for separated or separating parents. The work begins with separate, unhurried conversations with each parent — and, where age-appropriate and the parents agree, a quiet conversation with the children themselves about their daily preferences. From these conversations we draft a parenting plan covering schooling, healthcare decisions, holiday rotations, communication with each parent, and the practical logistics of daily handovers.

Where the matter requires court formalization, we manage the filings and represent the client through hearings. Throughout, we keep the children's experience central, recognising that the goal is not victory but a settled, sustainable family rhythm.

What is included

  • Separate consultations with each parent
  • Age-appropriate children's consultation (where agreed)
  • Full parenting plan: schooling, healthcare, holidays, handovers
  • Court filing and representation if required
  • Ongoing guidance on plan implementation

How the process unfolds

  1. 1

    Individual parent consultations

Each parent speaks with counsel separately — about their children's routines, preferences, and the practical realities of their household.

  2. 2

    Children's consultation (if agreed)

A gentle, age-appropriate session with the children — not to decide anything, but to understand what their daily life looks like from their perspective.

  3. 3

    Parenting plan drafting

A detailed plan prepared for review — covering every practical aspect of co-parenting.

  4. 4

    Court formalization if required

Where court formalization is needed, we prepare and manage all filings and attend hearings.
